GYM TIME (up to 4 Years)

These sessions are for preschool age children where the children, accompanied by a parent or guardian, can play with toys in the gym, use the trampoline, ropes, low beams, airtrack and generally use lots of energy whilst having lots of fun. These sessions are run on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 – 11.30am. There is no need to book, just turn up. £4 per child. Our café is open during gym time serving refreshments.

EARLY STEPS (3-4 Years)

Our Early Steps classes start from the age of 3 years when your child reaches their pre school year. In these classes children, accompanied by their parent or guardian, are encouraged to participate in a structured fun session that introduces them to the basic gymnastics apparatus under the guidance of a qualified pre-school coach. We currently run these sessions 4 times each week, on Monday & Wednesday afternoon and Sunday morning.

EARLY MOVERS (4-5 Years)

Once your child reaches school age they are then invited to join our Early Movers sessions for reception age children. In this class they work with our coaching team whilst parents are invited to watch from the balcony.

During the course of the year, gymnasts are given increasing access to apparatus including the beam, bars, vault, trampette and trampoline but in a controlled manner where their safety and enjoyment is of paramount importance. Led by a suitably qualified coach at all times, the classes are mixed and the emphasis is very much on having fun.

In subsequent years, your child will be placed in single-sex classes and will progress through the gym according to their desire, ability and potential

The fundamental skills taught in gymnastics transfer well to many sports and can be a great foundation for your child’s mental, physical and social development, no matter what level they reach.

In a fun, child-friendly environment, children are coached to improve their co-ordination, poise & balance, strength, flexibility, conditioning & fitness, self-motivation, listening skills and all-round discipline and sportsmanship.

When your child is older and ready and if they are interested in doing more gymnastics, they may be invited to attend classes that are held more than once a week with a view to competing in club, local, UK and/or International competitions to represent the club and the Isle of Man.
